Artist Statement

The landscape holds scenes that in my view resembles puzzle pieces that when combined together, are capable of forming an infinite amount of photographic creations. The American Southwest has been an inspiration to many creative minds, and has influenced me in the same manner. It indeed is known for having naturalistic beauty, but what interests me is exploring the subjective beauty of ways it can be seen. The photographic composites I construct focus on the idea of creating invented environments, which leads me to begin to ask questions about the very subjective nature of perception itself.
